Most studios hand you off between a makeup artist, a photographer and a retoucher, and the picture drifts a little at every step. At JOOMY VISION one pair of eyes carries the frame from the first look in the mirror to the final file. One vision, start to finish.

Analysis

The face, read before a brush is lifted.

Bone structure, skin tone, how each feature takes light. We map it, then decide what the makeup should do and where the key light should sit.

Makeup

Designed for the lens, not the mirror.

A face built for the set, the lighting scheme and the story of the frame. Texture and colour are chosen for how they photograph, at the distance they will be photographed.

Multi-light schemes designed and executed in-house, from set build to final retouch. The mood is decided on the floor, not fixed later.

The studio

A quiet room in the city.

Sheer curtains, a lamp-lit lounge and a quiet retouch desk. Analysis, makeup and the first frames happen here, and the final files are finished at the same desk. For larger sets we work in partner studios across Hangzhou, each chosen for the light it gives.

The Session

A small group, one afternoon, a model who knows the light.

An intimate shooting session for photographers. The atelier directs poses, expressions and blocking on the floor, so your attention stays on light and composition.
